Galenicum and UB promote the second edition of “University Joins Industry”

Galenicum and the Universitat de Barcelona (UB) Faculty of Pharmacy have collaborated in the second edition of “University Joins Industry”, a training workshop designed to raise awareness among students of the various opportunities available in all areas of the pharmaceutical industry. The seminar was organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy and Galenicum, represented by Natalia Elizondo (Human Resources) and Georgina Marjanet (Intellectual Property).

The workshop attracted 192 participants, who were given an insight into the operations and requirements of the industry’s various departments and the important interrelation between these. This edition of “University Joins Industry” also discussed the specific skills and competencies required for a career in the pharmaceutical industry, with the aim of guiding students on aspects to be taken into consideration beyond training in the profession.

The event was attended by Dr. Joan Esteva, Dean of the UB Faculty of Pharmacy, and Javier Torrejón, R&D Manager at Galenicum. Mireia Pladevall (Project Management), Olga Ribot (Regulatory Affairs), Sergio Malagrida (Business Development) and Laura Bladé (Tech Transfer) also participated in the sessions in representation of Galenicum, together with other renowned professionals in the industry, who discussed aspects of R&D, Intellectual Property, The workshop was attended by Dr. Joan Esteva, Dean of the UB Faculty of Pharmacy, and Javier Torrejón, R&D Manager at Galenicum.
