Galenicum is pleased to announce the structure of its Strategy Board. The members of the Strategy Board advise our company in developing the new Strategic Plan, which will specify the guidelines for our international expansion. Along with the founding partners, three renowned business experts have joined the Board; they will undoubtedly be a source of added value in achieving Galenicum’s vision.
Arun Sawhney is an industry veteran with over three decades of international experience in the Chemical and Pharmaceutical sectors. He has held senior functional and management positions in global pharmaceutical companies such as Max-Gb, Hindustan Ciba-Geigy, Bayer India Limited and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Limited. Sawhney is a founding member of the Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council (Pharmexcil) and is currently a member of the Advisory Board of United States Pharmacopeia (USP) in India.
Mark Tluszcz is co-founder and CEO of Mangrove, and he engages with entrepreneurs who want to disrupt the norm and change the world. Mark currently serves on the boards of Dialcom, Nimbuzz, Seatwave and Wix, and he was involved with Skype until the company was sold to eBay for €2.5 billion. He was included on the Forbes Midas List in 2007, 2008 and 2009 as one of the top 100 global deal makers in technology, and he was selected in 2010 as one of the 30 most influential persons in Luxembourg.
Juan Eusebio Pujol is Partner at Miura Private Equity. He was one of the founding partners of Cluster Consulting in the late 90’s which was subsequently acquired by U.S.-based Diamond Technology Partners in the year 2000. Prior to that he worked at Gemini Consulting in London and The Mac Group in Madrid. More recently, Juan Eusebio held the position of CEO at Santa & Cole and at NODE. He is currently actively involved in the development of various companies as board director and business angel.
Erich Büchen, partner and co-founder of Galenicum, is Chief Operating Officer. He is in charge of manufacturing, supply chain, quality control and quality assurance. Prior to the joining Galenicum, he was in charge of business development for Eurocontal, a family-owned chemical trading company. Previously, he founded Overmet España, a metals trading company that he grew from a startup business to trading more than 80,000 MT of Iron ore per year, after which the company was sold to an Italian consortium.
Joaquim Domingo, Galenicum partner and co-founder, acts as both the Chief Sales Officer and the Chief Scientific Officer, with full responsibility for all aspects of R&D functions. He previously worked as a consultant with management-consulting firm Cluster Consulting, where he participated in major assignments in Brazil, India, Portugal and Spain; he lived in each of those countries and has also lived in the United States. He holds a board seat with Bionure, a Spanish biotech company, and with Luton, a family company involved in the trading of agricultural commodities.
Alejandro Ollé, partner and co-founder of Galenicum, is the company’s Chief Financial Officer, and is also in charge of Human Resources function. Prior to the founding of Galenicum, Alejandro worked as a consultant with Cluster Consulting where he was involved in international projects in Brazil, France, India and the MENA region. He holds board seats with several family companies that are involved in the gas distribution and real estate businesses.
